"GREGORY J. KIPP Gregory J. Kipp, age 32, formerly of Marshall, died unexpectedly July 4, 1985, at his home at 4050 46th St., San Diego, California.
Mr. Kipp was born January 26, 1953, to Jack A. and Eleanor (Morrell) Kipp. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1971. He worked for the Corning Glass Works in Albion as well as several places in Marshall.
He moved to San Diego in 1975, where he lived for the past ten years. He married Mary Jane Hartzell on November 2, 1976 in San Diego where he worked for the Chlor-A Company until he suffered a severe back injury in 1982. After many unsuccessful operations, Mr. Kipp succumbed to the results of the injury. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Kipp; two step-daughterss Liza and Laura Kipp, both at home; his parents, Jack and Eleanor Kipp, 861 E. Michigan Ave., Marshall; five brothers; Todd Kipp, Tom Kipp and Ron Kipp, all of Marshall, Dan Kipp of Litchfield and Jack M. Kipp of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Kimberly) Blodgett of Homer; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kipp's funeral services were conducted July 8, and interment was in the El Cajon Cemetery in San Diego."--10 Jul 1985, The Homer (MI) Index

"HARTZELL RITES SET TOMORROW -- Retired Manufacturer Died In Miami Hospital Funeral services for Elmer Elsworth Hartzell, 70, retired garment manufacturer, 510 SW Twelfth avenue, who died Sunday in a Miami hospital after an illness of two years, will be conducted at 4:30 pm tomorrow in the Gautier Funeral Home by Rev. Daniel Iverson, pastor of Shenandoah Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Hartzell was a manufacturer of knitted clothing in Chicago, Ill, for 40 years, retiring in 1927. He had lived in Miami for four years, coming here from New York.
He was a thirty-third degree Mason and one of the organizers of Medinah Shrine Temple, Chicago. Mr. Hartzell leaves the widow, Mrs. Frances Hartzell."--29 Dec 1931, The Miami (FL) Herald
