He was a retired letter carrier and dairy farmer and a member of the Retired Letter Carriers Association. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ola L. Ayers, Clearwater; two sons, W. L. "PIONEER PASSSES -- Mrs. William Kuhlmann Early Settler in Kansas..Mrs. William Kuhlmann, 80, a pioneer resident of Wichita county, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. J. Breitkrentz, after an illness of several days.
Mrs. Kuhlmann came to western Kansas in 1887 and, with her husband, played an important role in the pioneering of 48 years.
Surviving are seven sons and one daughter, all of whom were at her bedside when death came.

"Patricia S. MacDonald of Johnson City Patricia S. MacDonald, 71, passed away at her daughter Susan's home in Chenango Bridge on Monday, August 7, 2006. She was predeceased by her parents; a brother Robert, and a sister, Fran, and a son, Michael MacDonald in 1999. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Michael Murray, Syracuse, N.Y., Susan and Benjamin Fassett, Chenango Bridge, N.Y.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Jennifer MacDonald, Thorne Bay, Alaska, Dale and Diane MacDonald, Raleigh, N.C., Christopher MacDonald, Tavernia, Fla.; ten grandchildren, Kyle, Eric, Evan, Andrew, Mtthew, Gianni, faith, Jack, Leslie and Chelsea; three sisters, Sandra, ruth and Jean; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Terri.
Mrs. MacDonald was retired from the Crime Victims Assistance Center in Binghamton after 16 years of service and was a member of St. James Churchc, Johnson City. She was also an avid reader and especially enjoyed murder mysteries. She loved doing crossword puzzles and enjoyed retirement.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main St., Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. "Edd L. Wells, 79, of Garden City, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, in Haskell County.
He was born Nov. 10, 1932, in Scott City, to Henry and Alice Flaze Wells.
Before retirement, Mr. Wells had worked in a grain elevator in a partnership.
On April 17, 1954, he married Shirley A. Downs in Leoti. She died in May 2009. He also was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willard and Howard Wells; and a sister, Maggie Conine.
Survivors include four sons, Craig Wells of Garden City, Dennis Wells of MayVille, Wash., Steve Wells of Marienthal, and Tim Wells of Vacaville, Calif.; a brother, Melvin Wells of Scott City; three sisters, Wilma Baker of Scott City, Charlotte Holmes of San Diego, and Alita Barrows of Ness City; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside inurnment service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Leoti Cemetery.
