Melrose, died yesterday. "Jurey:--Mrs. Mary Jurey who numbered with the old settlers of the Clifton neighborhood, departed this life May 22nd, at the home of her son, Will Jurey, nine miles north of that city, her age at that time being seventy nine years, five months and three days. Mr. Jurey passed away about thirty years ago, which leaves surviving four sons and one daughter, all of whom are married. her death was due to her advanced age.
The funeral services were held Wedmesday, May 24, at the Rusco church, north of Vining, and burial made in the Rusco cemetery nearby."--25 May 1916, The (Clay Center KS) Times
