"George was born in Athens County, Ohio, the son of Moses and Susannah Robinett. He married Mary Shepherd in 1860 and they had four known children: Joseph, William, Charles and Julia. Soon after birth of the last child in 1865 and possibly the death of his wife, George moved his family to Marion County, Iowa.

On 5 May 1867, George married Cerena Rogers Hammond, a war widow with two children. As the couple added to their family, they relocated first to Nebraska and then in Kansas. Five known children were born of this union, the last being twins. One of the twins died soon after birth in 1875, and Cerena died only months afterward.

George then wed one Louisa Evans, a widow with daughter Margaret Evans. The 1900 census suggests that an additional seven children were born into the family. Those known are: George, Amos, Ida and Mary."--Find-a-grave

"Cerena was born in or near Switzerland County, Indiana, the second of eight known children born to Rebecca Adkinson and Samuel Rogers. Her father moved the family to Marion County, Iowa, in the 1850s. There, she met and married Greenville Hammond on 24 Mar 1859, and they had two sons, Lewis and Peter. Her husband died of disease in 1863 while serving in the Union Army.

On 5 May 1867, Cerena married George Robinett, a widower with four children. The family relocated to Nebraska in the early 1870s and then to Clay County, Kansas, by 1875. During the marriage, Cerena gave birth to five children: Samuel, Rebecca, John, Elija and Elihu. The two latter boys were twins and Elija died within days after birth. Possibly due to complications of childbirth, Cerena died three months later.

A side note. The 1880 census reflects that Cerena's youngest brother Benjamin and his family were neighbors to the Robinett family in Clay County."--Find-a-grave
