"Among the social events of this week was the reception given by A.G. Leibrick, Jr., last Tuesday night at his residence, in honor of his 21st birthday. Mr. Leibrick has been connected with the Bell Telephone Company for the past three years. His friends are many, which was clearly demonstrated by the large gathering, hearty congratulatons, and the many gifts presented him. During the dancing intermissions, Mrs. F.T. Harbach and Miss Maud Bouvier favored the guests with vocal selections. Mr. Leibrick and Miss Agnes Fritch led the march to the supper room. After the cry of "a speech", Mr. Leibrick delivered an oration, which greatly amused his friends. The merry participants were Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Leibrick...."--25 Oct 1896, The Philadelphia (PA) Times
"2 Wills Are Probated TOMS RIVER--The wills of the late Abraham G. Leibrick, Ocean Gate, and Newell Potter, Bayville, were probated this week in the office of Percy L. Grover, Ocean county surrogate.
The Leibrick estate was bequeathed to his wife, Mrs. Maud Bouvier Leibrick, who was appointed executrix of the will. He died last December 24.
Under the terms of the Potter will the estate was left to his daughter, Mrs. Bessie W. Horner, executrix, Mr. Potter died March 12."--5 Apr 1940, Asbury Park (NJ) Press.

"Joan Leibrick Wed Yesterday TOMS RIVER--The wedding of Miss Joan Keating Leibrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Gilbert Leibricki, 149 Long Branch Avenue, Ocean Gate, to Charles Howard Aitken, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Aitken, Cedar Grove Road, was solemnized yesterday at 2 P.M. at the Presbyterian Church.
The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Ansley Gerard Van Dyke, pastor, before an altar decorated with red poinsettias and Christmas greens. Mrs. Alma Baecker played the weding music and accompanied Harry Duckworth, soloist. A reception for the immediate families and a few intimate friends followed at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Robert Then.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white satin and lace, fashioned with long sleeves and tight bodice of the lace, the skirt embellished with panels of the lace, and ending in a short train. Her fingertip veil fell from a small lace covered cap, and she carried a cascade bouquet of white roses.
Two Sisters in Party Miss Charlotte Leibrick, sister of the bride, was maid of honor in a strapless gown of teal velvet in ballerina-length with matching stole, and inserts of net at the bodice. The open front of the skirt also carried inserts of the matching net. Her headpiece was of holly,, and she carried a cascade arrangement of burgundy carnations with holly and evergreen.
Mrs. Then was matron of honor. Her gown of burgundy velvet was styled like that of the maid of honor, and she carried a bouquet of green carnations with holly and evergreen.
Miss Marie Stefano, Ocean Gate, a cousin, and Mill Alle Leslie, Toms River, were bridesmaids. They wore gowns identical in style and color with that of the matron of honor,, and carried similar bouquets.
Richard Aitken was his brother's best man. Ushers were Raymond D. Morton, Ocean Gate, and Jerry D. Sprague and James St. Pierre, Toms River.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Leibrick chose a gown of peacock blue silk shantung with black accessories, and a corsage of gardenias.
The bridegoom's mother was dressed in blue and red changeable taffeta with black accessories, and a gardenia corsage.
After the rception, Mr. and Mrs. Aitken left for New York, the bride wearing a navy faille suit with matching accessories. After Jan 1. they will be at home in Atlanta, where the bridegroom is a senior at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Both bride and groom are graduates of Toms River High School. Mrs. Aitken has been employed at the office of the Real Estate Search and Abstract Company. Mr. Aitken is a member of the R.O.T.C. at school, and expects to enter service upon graduation in June."--29 Dec 1952, Asbury Park (NJ) Press
"JOAN LEIBRICK AITKEN. PLEASANTON, Calif.,--Joan Leibrick Aitken, a former New Jersey Short resident, died Thursday after a long illness at Eden Hospital, Castro Valley. Mrs. Aitken, 51, was a former resident of Ocean Gate, N.J., and was a 1948 graduate of Toms River High School, Dover Township, N.J. She was born in Philadelphia and lived in Ocean Gate for many years before moving to California.
Surviving are her husband, Charles; a son Karl, here; three daughters, Sue Aitken, Sacramento, and Charlene and Barbara Jean, both here; two brothers, Gilbert Leibrick and David Leibrick, both Ocean Gate; and four sisters, Sara Lou Then, Tustin, Charlotte Simsen, Ocean Gate, Thelma Lovinfosse, Pine Beach N.J. and Linda Leibrick, Totowa, N.J.
