"Suzanne M. Marichal Tells Engagement to W.W. Taylor -- The Kappa Alpha Theta sorority house at UCLA was the setting last evening for the engagement announcement of Suzanne Marie Marichal to William Wallaace Taylor of Huntington Park.
Suzanne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V. Rue Marichal of Long Beach, is in her junior year at UCLA and is affiliated with Bachelorettes of Long Beach. Her fiance, who is a senior at the same university, is a Sigma Nu.

"Leebrick, Marichal Vows Said--In a simple ceremony in Booth Chapel of the First Congregational Church of Long Beach, Miss Suzanne Marie Marichal became the bride of Robert John Leebrick, Jr.
The bride, who attended UCLA where she was affiliated with Kappa Alpha Theta and was graduated from Long Beach State College, was be attended by Miss Sharon Hilleary. Best man for the son of the Robert John Leebricks of Long Beach was Eugene Hancock.
Wedding Supper A wedding supper for family and close friends followed at the Long Beach home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. Rue Marichal.
The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Texas where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi.
The couple will honeymoon in New York where they will visit Mr. Leebrick's sister and brother-in-law, the James L. Millers (Harriet Leebrick Pullen) at Cos Cob, Ct., as well as Mrs. Leebrick's brother and sister-in-law, the Robert R. Marichals at Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. Our mom, grandma, great- grandma, aunt, cousin, friend and much more left this world in peace on March 1 of this year in her home surrounded by family after a long and full life.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard "Dick" Harris in 2007, but leaves behind all of her children, their children and their children. Her kids, Janet Smith, Charles Harris, Ken Harris, Andy Harris and loving daughters-in-law, Raquel Harris and Mirna Harris. Grandkids, Kevin Smith, Jason Harris, Bryan Harris, Tanya Fong, Lindsey Fong, Luis Harris, Isaiah Harris and Aliana Harris and great-grandkids, Madeline (Tanya's) and Kaia (Lindsey's).
Born in San Francisco General Hospital in 1921, Libby grew up in Los Angeles, graduating from Fairfax High School and UCLA, where she met her husband, Dick.
At the end of Dick's World War II military service they moved to San Anselmo while Dick attended Presbyterian seminary. The minister's life took them to Sacramento, Fresno, Phoenix and finally Tucson, where they spent 25 years. Libby served as the librarian at the then brand new Canyon del Oro high school for all of those years, retiring in 1987. She loved the kids who flowed through there and often the kids of those kids, and retained strong friendships with many in the Tucson community.
Libby and Dick retired to a parcel in the redwoods of Occidental in Sonoma County, CA, where they built their dream house with their own hands and those of friends and family, and spent the remainder of their years."--11 Dec 2016, The Arizona Daily Star
