"Constance "Connie" Belle Leebrick Jones, 88, formerly of Falls Church, Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at the Potomac Falls Health and Rehab Center in Sterling, Va., with family by her side. Born April 13, 1927, in Lynchburg, Va., she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. Leebrick and Peggy Leebrick. She was married to the love of her life, Cecil Jones, from August 22, 1945, until he passed away on January 24, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James E. Leebrick; and son-in-law, Charles E. Carter."Connie" had a love for God, family, and friends. She loved music and dancing, enjoyed shopping at Tysons Corner, reading a good gossip magazine, and more than anything else, spending time and talking with her loved ones. She was an active member of Capital Baptist Church in Annandale, Va., where she grew strong in her Christian faith. She will be remembered most for her great love and devotion to her family and friends and her deep faith in God.She is survived by her daughter, Dale Jones Harrison and her spouse, William Dale Harrison, of Meridian, Miss.; two sons, Cecil "Rocky" Jones and his spouse, Margarette Jones, of Fairfax, Va., and Timothy A. Jones Sr. and his spouse, Susan Gainey, of Herndon, Va.; former daughter-in-law, Elena Shillingburg; nine grandchildren, Charles E. Carter, Jason M. Carter, Christa M. Jones, Timothy A. Jones Jr. and his spouse, Sarah, Jennifer L. Hedges and her spouse, Brett, Rebecca C. Jones, Christopher C. Jones, Dynise Espeleta and Gabby Morris; and five great-grandchildren, Brandi Jones, Timothy and Tyler Jones, Brayden and Bryce Hedges. Also, many other relatives and friends.Family will receive guests at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W Broad St., Falls Church, Va., on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Capital Baptist Church, 3504 Gallows Rd., Annandale, Va., on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. Burial at National Memorial Park."--The Lynchburg, VA News & Advance April 5, 2016

Valerie D. Leebrick, 53, of Charlotte, died Sunday, February 17, 2002 at Carolinas Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2002 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with Father Tom Meehan as celebrant. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel.
Valerie Diane was born February 27, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of Carmelo A. and Rosalie Torregrossa Caltabiano. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Charlotte. Valerie is survived by her husband, Paul Leebrick, III of Charlotte; her sons, JP Leebrick, IV and Brian Michael Leebrick of Charlotte; her mother, Rosalie A. Caltabiano of Charlotte; sisters, Roberta Willard of Maryland, and Diane Richardson of Charlotte; and her brother, Carl Caltabiano of Charlotte. Valerie was preceded in deathby her father, Carmelo Caltabiano.

"Leebrick-Keesee Vows Exchanged --WALNUT COVE--Miss Gloria Anne Leebrick of Route 1, Belews Creek and Larry Bennett Keesee of 9-H Covey Lane, Greensboro, were married Saturday in Salem Chapel United Church of Christ. The bride's father, the Rev. B.A. Leebrick of Route 1, Belews Creek, officiated. A reception followed in the church fellowship hall.
The bride is also the daughter of Mrs. B.A. Leebrick of Route 1, Belews Creek. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Gordon Keesee of Lynchburg, Va. The bride's sister, Miss Deborah Leebrick, was maid of honor.
The bridegroom's brother, Curtis Gordon Keesee Jr. of Richmond, Va., was best man. William T. Bayliss Jr. of Lynchburg and Eugene Pfaff of Greensboro ushered.
The bride is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where whe was named to Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Alpha Theta, national history honor society. She plans to receive her master of arts degree in history this summer from the University orf Virginia, Charlottesville. She is employed by ITT Grinnell Industrial Piping, Inc., Kernersville.
The bridegroom received a bachelor of arts degree from American University, Washington, and a master of library science degree from UNC Chapel Hill. "Miss Leebrick Wins Scholarship -- RUFFIN -- Miss Gloria Anne Leebrick, the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Bland A. Leebrick of Route 2, ruffin, has been awarded an alumni scholarship for the coming year at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is a junior at the school and one of 32 students who will receive the scholarships from the UNC-G Alumni Association. The scholarships range from $225 to $1000 and are provided through contributions from the school's alumni.
The recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievement, intellectual promise, character, leadership ability, demonstrated ambition and financial need.
Miss Leebrick is majoring in history and participated in its honors program during her freshman and sophomore years.
