Francis Joseph "F.J." Liebrich, 96, of Richmond, formerly of Chicago, died December 24, 2002. Mr. Liebrich was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Serra Club.
He was the husband of the late Marjorie O'Brien Liebrich. He was the beloved father of Margaret O'Connor and Kathryn Kenniff; grandfather of Colleen Cress, John Kiefer, Christopher Kiefer, Timothy Kiefer, Patrick O'Connor, Andrew Kenniff, Kevin Kenniff, Camryn Carleton, Elizabeth Baker, Stephanie Heintzleman and Patricia Clark; great-grandfather of 17.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Mitchell, SD. He spent his entire life on the farm in Crystal Lake township, which he was operating at the time of his death. Funeral was held Saturday May 6 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mentioned in father's write-up on find-a-grave.
Death notice on find-a-grave: "John was born July 29, 1899 in White Lake, South Dakota to Jacob and Catherine (Gales) Leibrich.
He spent his entire life on the farm in Crystal Lake Township, Aurora County, South Dakota.
He was united in marriage on June 21, 1934 at White Lake, South Dakota to Agnes (Roth) Leibrich. To this union four children were born.
John died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Mitchell, South Dakota on May 3, 1944.
He is survived by his wife Agnes; three sons, Gerald, Tommy and John Jr; one daughter, Marlene; five sisters, Susan (Nick ) Hanten and Ida (Matt) Mohnen of White Lake, SD, Marie (Bernard) Hanten of Platte, SD, Katie (Matt) Gillen of White River, SD and Theresa Leibrich of Long Beach, Calif. Also several aunts and a large number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday May 6, at St. Peter's Catholic Church at White Lake, SD with Father Coyne officiating. The pallbearers were John Goeres, Nick Gilbertz, Louis Gales, Jacob Martin, Hiram Cambell and Ernest Boedecker."

"Pittsburgher Graduates As Army Air Mechanic The United States Army Air Corps today announced that Jack R. Liebrich of 2205 Saranac Ave.,, has been graduated from the Roosevelt Aviation School at Long Island, N.Y. as an airplane mechanic.
Mr. Liebrich, a graduate of Connelley Trade School, enlisted in the air corps a year ago and was one of 25 selected from Mitchell Field to pursue the six-month course. His instruction covering all phases of repairing and overhauling airplane engines and accessories.
He has been assigned to the First Bombardment Squadron at Mitchell Field as a specialized mechanic on one of the twin-motored bombers."--23 Aug 1940, The Pittsburgh (PA) Press

Notation of TEC5, US ARMY on find-a-grave. 1954 Pittsburgh Pennsylvania city directory lists Sidney, but without a statement of occupation. Arrived 1 July 1916 from Liverpool, England on ship "Philadelphia" with three other family members.
"Wife Left Him, Claims Man Asking Divorce--A few weeks after their wedding, his wife rented an apartment in her own name, using her maiden name, and left him, according to testimony yesterday in the suit of Sidney J. Liebrich, of Saranac street, for a divorce from Gertrude C. Liebrich, Mt. Washington. She referred to him as her 'ex-husband', he said, and she received telephone calls and letters from other men.
A sister of Liebrich told Judge W. Heber Dithrich that the wife had declared she married Liebrich to spite another man. The couple parted last June."--29 Dec 1938, Pittsburgh (PA) Post-Gazette
"PITTSBURGH, Dec. 28--Sidney Liebrich said today in a divorce court proceeding that his wife permitted him to visit her private apartment by appointment only and that she once told him she married him for spite.
