His wife is listed as Miss Jennie A Cassel, but since the rest of her family coincided with Jennie Nelson Cassel, I am connecting her here.

"CASSEL, MARTIN S., farmer, Hummelstown, Pa., was born in South Hanover township, Dauphin county, Pa., July 31, 1857; son of Uriah and Barbara (Hocker) Cassel. Mr. Cassel attended the schools of his native township and learned the trade of a tanner with his father, which he has always followed as an occupation. In 1889 he established a leather and finding store in Lebanon, Pa, which he is still conducting, and in 1893 rented his father's tannery, of which he has been the manager and proprietor since that date. In politics, he is a Democrat, in religious views and membership a Lutheran, and is the organist of the church and Sabbath-school to which he belongs."--Comemorative Biographical Encyclopedia of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania

A poem attributed to Mary Gertrude Leebrick goes as follows:
My Prayer
I thank Thee God, that I can see the sky at night and day;
That I can scent the flowers Thou hast strewn along my way.
That I can hear the caroling of birds in my free land,
And feel the touch of sympathy in the Clasp of Friendship's hand.

Though I may taste the bitterness of life with coming years,
Become discouraged dread the onward road O calm my fears,
And give me courage, stronger faith and Cheer to meet each day.
O grant these gifts to me Dear Lord, I pray, And be my Guide, along the way.

Provided by Chris Leebrick, Eugene, Ore.

Mentioned in her sister Maria Esther Cassell Berry's will.

"CURIO 93 YEARS OLD FOR CHURCH--Is Presented to Zion Lutheran by Charles C. Hummel--HUMMELSTOWN, Nov 26.--During the last week a valuable curio was presented to Zion Lutheran Church by Charles C. Hummel and placed in the relic room of the church. It is a hand carved wooden dove building in its bill an olive branch and it occupied a conspicuous place in the church ninety-three years ago. Above the pulpit in the old church was a bell shaped canopy surmounted by the dove which had been presented to the church by Miss Mary Leebrick, grandmother of Mr. Hummel in 1824. When the church was remmodeled in 1855, the dove was returned to Mrs. Leebrick who gave it to Mr. Hummel. The gift to the church makes a very valuable addition to the large number of curios now in the possession of old Zion."--26 Nov 1917, The (Harrisburgh PA) Evening News.
