Sometime after his marriage in 1653 and prior to 1666, Allen and his family moved to Bunbury, cheshire, England. Records of the christening of his two sons, Allen and Samuel, are found in the register of St. Boniface, the Bunbury Parish Church for 1666 and 1669.
Allen with his wife and two, possibly three of his children arrived in america during the summer or early fall of 1682. He probably landed at Upland (now Chester). by March 6th, 1683, he had moved to his 245 acre plantation, as he witnessed the Will of his neighboring landowner.
