"Robert E. McMillan -- Robert E. McMillan, 54, died Oct. 1, 2006, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Ralph; grandparents, Ralph and Jessie McMillan and Leland and Faye Hartzell.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; step daughter Samantha, and her two children, all of Fort Collins; his mother, Merry June Neely of Cheyene, sisters, Sue Hayden and her husband, Jim, of Cheyenne, Betsy Rohde and husband, Stefan, of Augusta, Ga., and Sharon Benson and her husband, Ed, of Columbus, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his lifelong best friend Bruce Forster and many, many other dear friends.
Bob loved to fly fish and tied all of his own flies. He also hunted for arrowheads and was a fabulous artist and craftsman. Bob worked for Wray Plumbing for more than 20 years.
A memorial and celebration of Bob's life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Robert McMillan Memorial Fund in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel."--4 Oct 2006, Fort Collins (CO) Coloradoan

Dr. Paul Merrill was a graduate of Dartmouth College, who settled in Vassalboro, moved to Augusta and later moved back to his native town of Parsonsfield, where he and his wife Rebecca both died.

"Paul Merrill, M.D., was the son of Henry and Rebecca (Merrill) Merrill, and was born in Parsonsfield, April 23, 1832. Studied medicine with Dr. G.L. Bennett, and graduated at Dartmouth in 1856. He then obtained the position of assistant physician at the Maine Insane Hospital, remaining there three years. Thence he went to Vassalboro, where he practiced about one year, then came to Parsonsfield, where he remained three years, then to Augusta where he tarried seven years, then again to this town, where he died February 7, 1870. He was married to Miss Rebecca Medora Lee of Vassalboro, on September 14, 1868, who survived him less than two years. They had two children, both sons, one a resident of Parsonsfield and one in Augusta. Dr. Merrill was well educated and thoroughly prepared for the duties of the profession."--Pg 152, History of Parsonsfield.
