When the community of Freinsheim set up a "priest benefice" in 1431, the village officials asked Bishop Friedrich of Worms to give this benefice to Pastor Nicolaus Lieberich of Erpolzheim. This was soon accomplished.

Graduated from the 8th grade in Sioux Falls, SD. Served in the Army two years and was discharged in 1954. He settled in Winner, SD. Mr. Liebrich drove for Redlinger Trucking, Wilson Transfer from 1960-63, American Freight from 1963-82, his own trucking company, L&L Trucking from 1982-88, and Lewis Truck lines from 1988-91. He also drove for Bob Curtis Trucking until 2002, when his health gave out. He belonged ot the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post of Winner. He was a member of the Men's Bowling Association and served as president for many years. He also was president of the Young American Bowling Alliance for many years. He participated in Boy Scouts of American with his sons and enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and playing cards with his family.
He was preceeded in death by a sister, Loretta Noldner, and a brother, Dale.
Survivors include four sons, Leonard and Mark, both of Winner, Robert of Sheridan, WY and Craig of Chamberlain, SD; a daughter Brenda Bender of Winner; a brother, Kenneth of Winner and 11 grandchildren.
