From Arizona Republican April 17, 1904: INFORMATION WANTED. Sammie Leebrick was sent into Mesa on an errand Thursday morning, April 14th, and did not return. Mrs. J. P. Leebrick is very much worried about the boy and would appreciate any information leading to his whereabouts. Sammie is thirteen years old; rather small for his age, fair complexion, scar over one eye and has light brown eyes. If anyone should meet the boy, it will be a favor to write to the mother. Address Mrs. J. P. Leebrick, Mesa, Arizona.

"Sam Leebrick Opens Garage Of His Own--Sam Leebrick, for more than ten years known in the valley as an expert automobile mechanic, during which time he has been star man for garages in Covina, Glendora and Los Angeles, has this week leased the garage in the rear of the French Motor Company at Citrus avenue and Orange street in Covina, and will conduct his own business.
Sam is one of the best and most favorably known mechanics of the valley, with a reputation for conscientious work. The mechanical department of the French Motor Company is well equipped with modern machinery, and the new proprietor said this week that he is going to make his prices fir the needs of the community as well as turn out the class of work for which he has made a reputation.
"Take It To Sam," is the motto of this new business, and there is no question but that many will see the wisdom of this advice."--3 Feb 1922, Covina (CA) Argus

"Man's Cap Stolen as He Was Driving Auto--"A unique but not altogether agreeable incident happened to a Covina man, Sam Leebrick of the Webber garage, when his cap was stolen from off his head. Sam was returning home through Claremont, when a machine turned in behind him from a side street. The car followed him for a short distance and then pulled alongside the Covina car as if to pass. When even with the Covina car, one of the occupants of the other car, a new Buick, leaned out from the running board and snatched Leebrick's new cap. At the same moment the driver gave the car the gas and pulled ahead of the local man's car. Leebrick, who was driving a Star, did his best to catch the Buick and was close behind it when the Buick driver applied his four-wheel brakes and made a quick turn down a cross street. Sam kept straight on and is seen this week wearing his old hat.
This is a new stunt and is thought to be the outcome of the higher education imparted at Pomona college."--27 Mar 1925, Covina (CA) Argus

Mr. Leebrick and his family have been living at Baldwin Park for some time, while Sam has been connected with the Oakland and Pontiac agencies at Alhambra and at El Monte."--23 Aug 1929, Covina (CA) Argus
