Was second son. Worked as pharmacist, Lived in Frederick, Oklahoma, had a daughter Mary Betty who married and also lived in Frederick.

In 1920 Oklahoma Census, gave his address as 213 South Twelfth Street, Frederick, Ok. Listed "druggist" for occupation

"Leebrick and Daughter Buy Drug Store at Roosevelt The M. H. Leebrick family who resided here many years have removed to Roosevelt where Leebrick and his daughter, Mrs. Betty Gower have bought a new drug store which they will operate. Leebrick sold his residence on S 12th to Mrs. Ed Klase where she will establish her home. Polly Brown reports that there was no Leebrick listing in the 1987 SW Oklahoma Areawide telephone directory. She further quotes from the 1928? Who's Who in Tillman County publication as follows:

Leebrick, M.H.-Manager Corner Drug Store; born Osborne, Kansas 1883; Ph.C. degree; married Miss Susie Chandler 1910; Chamber of Commerce; Lions Club; Christian church; Knights of Pythias; one child, Mary Betty; resident of Frederick since 1918; in drug business 18 years, five years in Frederick.

Polly also says that there still exists in Frederick a Bumpas Drug Store. She believe the Bumpas family was in Frederick during that period and reports the address of that store as Bumpas Drug and Gift, 128 W. Grand, Frederick, OK 73542.

The World Book Dictionary says that the degree Ph.C. stands for Pharmaceutical Chemist.

"Max Leebrick. WICHITA FALLS--Max Leebrick, resident of Wichita Falls until he moved to Frederick three years ago, died at Frederick Tuesday. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday in First Christian church there. He was 77."--16 Nov 1960, The Vernon (TX) Daily Record

Obit from the Frederick, Ok newspaper (page 8) reads as follows:
WHEN THE CURTAIN FALLS. Max Harry Leebrick, 77-year-old prominent Frederickan passed away at Tillman County Memorial hospital Tuesday at 12:00 noon after a prolonged illness.
Funeral services were held in First Christian Church of Frederick at 2:00 pm Thursday with McLellan Funeral Home in charge of services. Rev. George Gibbs officiated and interment was in the Frederick Memorial cemetery.
Survivors included the wife of the home address, 407 Pine Street, Frederick; daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Mary Betty) Towery of Albuquerque and two grandsons, Thomas Max and Larry Lee.
Leebrick was born August 7, 1883, the son of Frank and Elizabeth McCullasler in Osborn, Kansas.
He married Laura Alice Chandler in 1910 in Alva and the couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last summer.
Leebrick attended the school of Pharmacy in Fremont, Nebraska in 1908 and moved to Frederick in 1918 where for 31 years he operated the Corner Drug. He has been a registered pharmacist for 52 years and also operated the drug store at Roosevelt.
He was a member of the Frederick Lodge Number 249 A.F. and A.M. for 50 years, past president of Frederick Lions club and First Christian church deacon for many years.
Leebrick was loved and respected by a host of friends in each of the communities where the family had made its home.
In memory of Leebrick, all drug stores in Frederick were closed for the funeral service.
Pall bearers were Bill Lawson, Tony Massad, Bob Collins, Ralph Heap, Floyd Cameron, H. E. Fondren.

Homesteaded the NE quarter of the SE quarter of section 6, the NW quarter of the SW quarter of section 5 and the south half of the NW quarter of section 5-5-35 in Rawlins county. On April 2, 1914, Max and Susie (whose address then was Woods county, Oklahoma) sold this property to Max's brother Roy for $275. For some reason, the sale was not documented until October 1917.

Lived in Wichita Falls, Tx for a time, according to Hazel McMahan.

"Many in Attendance at Annual Pioneer Picnic ... Pioneers were present from all over the county, including many from Manitou, Grandfield, Tipton and Davidson. Among the out-of-county folks in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Max Leebrick, Wichita Falls, C. O. Stubbs, Wichita Falls ...."--8 May 1958, The Frederick (OK) Press

"NOW IN HOSPITAL. ROOSEVELT --A former drug store owner in Roosevelt, M.H. Leebrick has been admitted to Wichita Falls, Tex., General hospital for a heart ailment."--19 Nov 1958, The Lawton (OK) Constitution.

Max's name appears on the 1907 class roll for the Pharmacy Department at Fremont College, Fremont, Nebraska. A class of 26 students is listed. Fremont College was first known as Fremont Normal College, then Fremont College and now Midland Lutheran College. - ENGS

Max Leebrick was among those Frederick County men who applied for mineral rights in the neighboring Wichita County Tx in early 1919 or late 1918.
