It is easily reached on top of a hill about one mile southwest of the village of Peru. It is actively used and well cared for. C. Herman Guy read the stones in May 1984. "SWAIN-LEEBRICK.Sunday, September 18 at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Swain in Garden City, Miss Mary J Swain was united in marriage to Mr. Roy Leebrick. Rev. Leonard, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating.
Mrs. Leebrick was a member of the Garden City schools and Mr. Leebrick for months has been a faithful employee of the Ammerman Construction Co. Besides the family there were present Rev. Leonard, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Coats, Henry Coats, Mrs. O.C. Gann, Mrs. Walter Brenneman, Mr. and Mrs. N.S. Horst, Miss Esther Horst. After congratulations and the presentation of some useful gifts, a splendid 2 o'clock luncheon was greatly enjoyed by all.

Mrs. Leebrick Dies; Rites on Friday -- Mrs. Mary Jane Leebrick, 73, of Route 1, Rivers Drive, in Mexico, died today at 1:56 a.m. at the Pin Oaks Nursing home where she was admitted Tuesday.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home with the Rev. Herbert Albright, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, to officiate. Burial will be in the Centralia Cemetery.
She was born on Sept. 25, 1903 in Garden City, Kan., daughter of Abner and Lucy Ella Morris Swain. On Sept. 18, 1921, she married Roy Statley Leebrick in Garden City. He died May 7, 1965 and two sons also preceded her in death.
A resident of Mexico since 1943, she was employed by the Florsheim Shoe Co. and attended the Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Blake and Mrs. Gilbert (Alice Mae) Blackburn both of Mexico; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home."--2 Feb 1977, Mexico (MO) Ledger
