"Michael Diffenderfer & UX to Nicholas Lieberich} This indenture made the fifteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & seventy five Between Michael Diffenderfer of the Borough of Lancaster in the County of Lancaster Innkeeper & Christina his wife of the one part and Nicholas Lebrigh of Rapho Township in the said County of Lancaster Sadler of the other part. WITNESSETH that the said Michael Diffenderfer & Christina his wife for & in consider of the sum of twenty five pounds lawful money of Pennsylvania, to them in hand by the said Nicklaus Lebrigh at & before the ensealing & delivery hereof the receipt & payment whereof is hereby acknowledged & the said Nichlaus Lebrigh his heirs exrs. & admrs, are thereof forever acquitted & discharged by these presents have granted bargains & sold aliened enfeoffed released & confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release & confirm unto the said Nichlaus Librigh & unto his heirs & assigns forever.
A CERTAIN square or piece of ground situate lying & being in the Town of Manheim in the County of Lancaster aforesaid, marked in the General Plan of the said Town by the Number 117, Containing seven inlots formerly numbered 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47 & 48 which said Square is Containing in front on High Street two hundred & seventy feet and in depth by Pitt Street three hundred & ninety feet, bounded Northward by High Stre, Westward by Pit Street, Southward by Turn Alley Westward by land of Jacob Reiff.
IT BEING the same square or piece of ground amongst others which John Perres Esr, Sheriff of the said County of Lancaster by his certain Deed Poll bearing date the thirtieth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & seventy five & recorded at Lancaster in Record Book Q Page 247 &c, did bargain sell & convey unto the said Michael Diffenderfer his heirs & assigns forever.
TOGETHER WITH all & singular the buildings improvements ways woods waters watercourses advantages & hereditments whatsoever to the said lot or piece of ground belonging or in any wist appertaining & the reversions & remainders thereof.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described lot or piece of ground hereditments & promises hereby granted bargained & sold with the appurtenances unto the said Nicklaus Lebrigh his heirs & assigns to the only proper use benefit & behoof of the said Nicklaus Lebrigh his heirs & assigns forever. Under & Subject to the proportionable part of the yearly quitrents hereafter to become due to the Honble, the Propretaries for the said premises. AND the said Michael
Diffenderfer doth hereby covenant grant & agree to & with the said Nicholas Lebrigh his heirs & assigns against him the said Michael Diffenderfer & his heirs by from or under his them or any of them shall & will warrant & forever defend by these presents IN WITNESS WEREOF the said parties have hereunto interchangeably set their hands & seals.. Probate proceedings recorded as follows: "George Liebrich and others to Philip Liebrich: TO ALL PEOPLE to whom these presents shall come, George Liebrich of West Buffalo Township, Northumberland County, Tanner and Mary his wife, Daniel Liebrich of the Borough of Lebanon in the County of Dauphin, Saddler, and Elizabeth his wife, Elizabeth Liebrich, single woman, Mary Liebrich, Sarah Liebrich, Single woman and Catharine Liebrich, Widow, of the Town of Manheim in the County of Lancaster, all of the State of Pennsylvania, which said George Liebrich, Daniel Liebrich, Elisabeth Liebrich, Mary Liebrich, Sarah Liebrich, being five of the Brothers and Sisters of John Liebrich late of the Town of Manheim in the County of Lancaster and State aforesaid, Sadler, deceased, who died intestate, unmarried and without Issue or issues, and the said Catharine Liebrich, Widow, being the mother of the said John Liebrich deceased.
WHEREAS the Said John Liebrich died possessed of a Real Estate situate part in the Township of Rapho and part in the Township of Warwick and county of Lancaster aforesaid, the first of the Lots situate in said Warwick Township adjoining a lot of Abraham Hosteter, Ulrick Reiser and .... PAGE 88 High Street containing five acres of Land being part of a Ten acre Lot known in the General Plan or Draught of a Manheim among the Ten acre Lots by the Number two, the other Lots situate in Rapho Township and county aforesaid, and being known in the General Plan or Draught aforesaid by the following numbers Ten and Eleven, Containing in front on High Street one hundred and twenty feet, corner of High and Prussian Street and in depth to a Lot of Peter Heintzelman one hundred and eighty six feet, Number Two, hundred and seventy five being one In lot, one out Lot Number fifty seven, containing two acres of Land, on out Lot Number fifty nine, containing two acres of Land, one out Lot, Number Six, containing two acres, one Out Lot number one hundred and seventeen, containing two acres and a half of Land, one out Lot number One hundred and twenty four, containing two acres and a half of Land, one other out Lot number Eight, containing three acres of Land and one In lot Number one hundred and sixty seven.
AND WHEREAS such proceeding were had in the Orphan's Court of the said County of Lancaster the Sixteenth day of February Instant and at divers other days and times relating to the Real Estate of the Said John Liebrich deceased, that the same having been first duly valued and appraised by an Inquest awarded by the Said Court was by the Said Court adjudged to Philip Liebrich the oldest Brother of the said John Liebrich deceased. To hold to him the said Philip Liebrich his Heirs and Assigns forever, The paying or Accruing to be paid to the other Brothers and Sisters of the said John Liebrich deceased their collective Shares of Such valuation according to Law, as in and by the Records and Proceedings of the Said Court may appear.
NOW Know ye that the said Philip Liebrich the eldest Brother of the said John Liebrich deceased hath agreeable to the directions of the said Orphans Court well and faithfully paid and made full satisfaction unto the said George Liebrich, Daniel Liebrich, Elizabeth Liebrich, Mary Liebrich, Sarah Liebrich and Catharine Liebrich, widow for their and each and every of their Shares of and in the Sum of one thousand seven hundred and fifty two Pounds, thirteen Shillings and four pence being the Sum at and for which the said Real PAGE 89 Estate are valued and appraised as aforesaid, that is to say, He has paid the Sum of Two hundred and fifty Pounds, seven Shillings and seven pence 1/2 penny to each of the said Heirs for their Shares thereout.
IN CONSIDERATIION whereof the said George Liebrich and Mary his wife, Daniel Liebrich and Elizabeth his wife, Elizabeth Liebrich, Mary Liebrich, Sarah Liebrich and the Mother Catharine Liebrich for themselves their Heirs Executors and Administrators do and each and every of them doth by these presents (p)romise release and for ever quit claim unto the said Philip Liebrich his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns all and every the said Parts and Shares of them the said George Librich and Mary his wife, Daniel Liebrich and Elizabeth his wife, Elizabeth Liebrich, Mary Liebrich, Sarah Liebrich and Catharine Liebrich and each and every of them of and in the valuation money for the Real Estate aforesaid and all Actions Suits Claims and Demands whatsoever in any manner relating to or respecting the same.
SO THAT the said Philip Liebrich his Heirs and Assigns shall and may forever hereafter peaceably and quietly have Hold occupy possess and enjoy the said Real Estate within described with the Appurtances fully and absolutely acquitted and discharged of and from all and every the Parts and Shares of them the Said George Leebrick and Mary his wife, Daniel Liebrich and Elizabeth his wife, Elizabeth Liebrich, Mary Liebrich, Sarah Liebrich and Catharine Liebrich of in to and out of the valuation or appraisement Money aforesaid.
IN WITNESS whereof the said parties have hereunto set their hands and Seals the first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and five. Deed and desired the same may be recorded as Such.
