At the funeral of Ellen A. Colesworthy, Rev. Dr. George W. Bicknell, pastor of the First Universalist Church, Cambridge, Mass. paid a fitting tribute to the life and worth of the departed, and closed his address by reading a poem contained on page 15 & 16 of the Lee Family History booklet.

Captain James Lee, of Phippsburg, died on a passage from Havana, Cuba to Charleston, S.C., June 25, 1823 at 55 years of age. He was formerly of Falling, Yorkshire, England. His descendants owned and occupied the homestead as late as 1895.

It gives a residence listing as Columbia, Boone county, Mo 65201 and says the last benefit was sent to Belmond, Wright county, IA. 50421. Mr. Leebrick lived in Belmond, Iowa, for a number of years, where he worked for General Mills. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Belmond Odd Fellows Lodge.
"Wedding Performed on 86th Birthday of Bride's Father. Belmond -- Aielt Riekens announces the marriage of his daughter, Minnie, to Ray Leebrick of Glenns Ferry, Idaho, son of the late John H. Leebrick of Missouri. The ceremony, performed by the Rev. W. L. Patterson, took place at 7 p.m. in a candlelight setting at the home of the bride's father on his 86th birthday, Feb. 28. Decorations were in pink and white.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a sea-beige dress with brown accessories and carried yellow jonquils and sweet peas. She was attended by her sister, Mary Faulhaber, wearing a blue dress with a corsage of red roses and sweet peas.
Mr. Leebrick was attended by his brother, John Leebrick. Madonna and Marlin Blau, children of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Blau, acted as flower girl and ring bearer while Earl Neuhring and Richard Gray were ushers.
During the ceremony, Mrs. Leland Lieuwenn sang "Ah Sweet Mystery of Life" and "lord's Prayer" accompanied by Miss Marjorie Goeman at the organ. She also played the wedding march.
After the ceremony, a reception was held for about 50 relatives and close friends. the wedding party was seated at a table decorated with the 3-tier wedding cake and candles. Dinner was served by Leona Blau, Lorainne Wessels, Katherine Meinders, Marie Neuhring, Iola Gray, Hattie Smith, and Ann Dippel.

"ADDIE RAY LEEBRICK -- Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Belmond on February 11 for Ray Leebrick, 85, who died February 8 at Columbia, Mo. Rev. Robert Newberg officiated. Burial was in the Belmond Cemetery. Quesenberry Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
Ray Leebrick was born on May 11, 1894 at Hallsville, Mo., to John Henry and Nancy Jane Bonham Leebrick. He attended school at Hallsville.
During World War I he was in the service for 18 months, seven of these months were spent overseas. After military service he went to work for a logging company at Puget Sound, Wash., for 12 years. After that, he owned a ranch in Washington for a time and after selling that, he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. He come to Belmond and worked for General Mills.
On February 28, 1946, he was married to Minnie Riekens at her farm home near Belmond.
He was a member of the American Legion and Odd Fellows Lodge.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife and three brothers. Survivors include a sister, Carrie M. Davis of Columbia, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.
