Mr. Cecil Johnson, age 73 years of Rt. 4, Jasper (Ga), passed away at his home Saturday evening, February 6, 1988, following a lengthy illness.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sally Warren Johnson; son Marvin Johnson, Cumming; daughters, Mrs Loretta Padgett, Marietta, S.C., Mrs. Levern Padgett, Talking Rock; brothers, Mr. Carl, Hardy, and Marion Johnson, Jasper; sister Mrs. Alma Kincaid, Talking Rock. Six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Langley.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from Philadelphia Baptist Church with Rev. Junior Warren and Rev. D. J. Free officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Chapman funeral Home of Jasper (Ga) in charge of funeral arrangements.

Graduated from college and was a teacher at Jasper Elementary School (Pickens Co, Ga) for a number of years. Cecil and Sally lived in Refuge Comm. and had four children.

Marion Lee Johnson is responsible for updating the genealogy records which were originally researched and gathered by Anna Lee, Ella Lee, and Clara Lee Johnson. The Lee family and the Berry family are containted in the booklet of hand typed pages along with photo copies of letters and death notices and other newspaper artilcles which were gathered by them during their research.

Cecil Jones, 74, co-founder and president of M.C.M. Parking Co., Inc. in Washington, D.C., died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999.
Mr. Jones was born August 9, 1924 in Nelson County, a son of the late Robert Grant Jones and Ella Proffitt Jones Coffer. He is a former resident of Lynchburg.
Mr. Jones honorably served his country in the U.S. Army in World War II and was a member of Capital Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Willie S. Jones; three sisters, Mamie J. Hawkins, Lena B. Lawhorne and Bette Dabbondanza.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Connie Leebrick Jones of Falls Church; a daughter, Dale Jones Carter of Waynesboro; two sons, Cecil S. Jones of Vienna and Timothy A. Jones Sr. of Herndon; seven grandchildren Charles and Jason Carter, Christa, Tim Jr., Jennifer, Rebecca and Christopher Jones; three brothers, James, Fred and Mitchell Jones of Lynchburg; a sister, Annie Carter of Waynesboro. Also, many other relatives and friends.
He will be remembered for his great love and devotion to his family and friends and his deep faith in God.
The family will receive friends at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad St., Falls Church from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
A service will be conducted by the Rev. Steve Reynolds at the Capital Baptist Church, Annadale at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 30. Interment will be at National Memorial Park, Lee Highway, Falls Church.
