An obit, cited by Debbie, is as follows: "Lucy was born in Va, emigrated with her family when a child, stopping for a short time in Ky, and arriving in the Territory of Missouri in the year 1800. Here, Mr. Hubbard, her father, settled in the charming valley of Florissant, about 15 miles from the then French village of St. Louis, where she spent the remainder of a rather extraordinary life. She became the mother of 15 children, 14 of whom lived to be heads of families, her first born dying at five years of age. Her entire progeny before her death numbered 15 sons and daughters, 93 grand children and 75 great grand children. Twelve sons and daughters still live, 9 of them being present at her funeral. sister Patterson, with her husband, was received into the Methodist Church by Rev. John Clark (1st Methodist preacher in Missouri) in 1806. She died at the house of her son, Derrett, Nov 3, 1876. Her funeral took place on the 5th at Cold Water Church."
