He was a "yoeman", his will states, of Middlesex, had a large estate and owned slaves. In 1693 he was in Burlington county, NY and in 1696 in Ossinpinck, East NJ. His will was made 9 Dec 1726 and proved 25 Nov 1728. Left assets and a negro woman valued at 25 pounds.

After his father's death, he came to East NJ to survey lands on behalf of the original 12 proprietors. He left a will in London, which named a son Samuel. It is likely that he had another son named William.

Was a mariner and landed in Va, Ma as well as other ports along the East coast. He was from Middlesex, England, near London. One of the first 12 proprieters of NJ...All of them soon divided property to make 24 proprieters. "Dir of Ancestral Heads of the Northeast" says he was at Salisbury, Mass and then back to London before 1658. Was associated with William Penn as co-proprietor of East Jersey and West Jersey. He was a surveyor, also Reciever General of East Jersey in the 1680-1683 time frame; laid out the city of Perth Amboy but died in 1683. Was a merchant in the city of London and a ships owner and captain. Brought indentured servants to Maryland in the 1650-1680 time frame.

"Passed away peacefully in McLean, Virginia on January 7, 2019 at age 93.
Hazel was born in Brookneal, VA in 1925. Hazel attended nursing school in Lynchburg, VA after which she began a long and successful career in nursing. As a nurse, Hazel focused on the care and well-being of the elderly, a calling and passion that she loved dearly. Hazel was also an active church and community volunteer throughout her life.
Hazel's first husband passed away unexpectedly in 1976 and she later met married her second husband, Donald Pless. After Hazel retired from nursing, Hazel pursued her next dream: to own and run a Bed-and-Breakfast. Hazel and Don eventually owned and operated the Cactoctin House in Hillsboro, VA as a thriving Bed-and-Breakfast for many years. Hazel and Don later retired to Arlington, Virginia.
Hazel is survived by her husband Donald Pless; son, Tinsley Leebrick III (Sandy); daughter, Pamela Appleton (Thomas); step-sons, Don and Jeff, and sister, Reva Kirkland. Hazel had three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five nieces. Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, Ocie and Sally Guthrie and her first husband, Tinsley Leebrick, Jr.
